Association Publications
The Association produces a number
of publications for its members.
The
County Commissioner is the Association’s official award-winning magazine covering news, features and
topics of interest to our members in county government. Published six times a year, it is
designed to not only highlight topics of great importance to county government, but also entertain our members.
The 2007-2008 ACCA Membership Directory is a complete listing of each county’s
commission members, including commissioners, county administrators, county engineers,
9-1-1 directors, emergency management directors and other elected and appointed officials.
The calendar is a complete listing of ACCA activities for 2008, as well as the activities for the
Association’s affiliate groups: Alabama Association of Emergency Managers, Alabama
Association of 9-1-1 Districts, Alabama City / County Management Association, Association of
County Administrators of Alabama, Association of County Engineers of Alabama and the
County Revenue Officers Association of Alabama.
The 2015 Task Force Report is ACCA's long-range plan for the future.
The 8th Edition (2006-07) of the Comparative Data on Alabama Counties is now available! With many thanks to the folks at Auburn University at Montgomery, we have a more comprehensive look at Alabama’s counties than we have had in several years. The data used to compile this study represents the responses obtained from a survey conducted in the summer and fall of 2007.
This year, we have decided to publish this edition of the Comparative Data on Alabama Counties electronically. This new format will allow you to use the Table of Contents to jump forward to chapters in the book and easily search-and-find specific items using Adobe Acrobat Reader’s toolbars.
