Get prepared for the 2010 Legislative Session.
Make your plans to attend a district meeting!
ACCA's district meetings are designed to provide members with an opportunity to discuss several legislative issues in detail before
the Association’s steering committees begin their work.
The Steering Committees will consider the information collected
during the district meetings and assemble a legislative
program for consideration during the Association’s Legislative
Conference in December.
The rising cost of health insurance will also be on the
agenda for the district meetings. The ACCA committee appointed
to look for cost-savings for counties will begin its
work in October, providing the membership with an opportunity
to discuss this important issue and offer much-needed
input through the district meetings.
All county commissioners, chairpersons, clerk/administrators, engineers, county attorneys, EMA directors, county revenue officers and 9-1-1 directors should plan to attend the district meetings. ACCA's upcoming legislative program depends on YOUR input and the information gathered at these meetings...BE SEEN AND BE HEARD!
All meetings will begin at 6 p.m. T he cost for ALL meetings is $20 per person. Click here for a complete registration packet. Registration is online. To register for a meeting, click here.
Directions to each location will be
e-mailed about a week prior to each meeting. If you have
questions regarding a district meeting, please call the
ACCA office at (334) 263-7594 or e-mail Jennifer Datcher.
