County Day @ the Legislature will be Wednesday and Thursday, April 27 - 28,
This two-day event gives county officials an opportunity to show their
strength and to spread their county’s story to Alabama’s lawmakers. ALL
COUNTIES SHOULD BE REPRESENTED!
A couple of years ago we switched to a Wednesday-Thursday schedule for County
Day and it has been a tremendous success. We will continue the Wednesday-
Thursday schedule this year. Fewer organizations hold events on these days and we
believe it increases legislator participation in our breakfast and allows you to have
greater access to your legislators for meetings and dinner.
The Legislative Briefing will be held on Wednesday, April 27 at the Alabama Activity
Center in downtown Montgomery. Registration will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the lobby.
The Legislative Briefing will begin at 2:30 p.m. and will outline the current status of
the ACCA’s legislative package and danger bills.

Our traditional Breakfast with Legislators will be held on Thursday morning, April
28, in the Ballroom of the Alabama Activity Center from 7:45 - 9 a.m. Following
breakfast, we will go immediately over to the Alabama State House and spend the
rest of the morning lobbying.
Registration is $25 per person, which includes Breakfast with Legislators on
Thursday. You may register online at www.acca-online.org. Cancellations will not
be refunded after April 13.
County Day will require an overnight stay. We have set up a block of rooms at two
different hotels. You may call Embassy Suites Montgomery at (334) 269-5055 or go
online to www.embassysuites.com and use the group code ACC. Rooms at Embassy
Suites are $119 per night. We also have rooms reserved at the Hampton Inn
Downtown. You may call the Hampton at (334) 265-1010. Rooms at the Hampton
are $94 per night. The deadline for making hotel reservations is April 11.
