2011 ACEA Annual Conference

Vendors packet

The 2011 ACEA Annual Conference is scheduled for April 5 - 6, 2011, at the Perdido Beach Resort in Orange Beach, Ala. We hope you will make your plans NOW to attend! You can register online for the conference.

Conference registration for ACEA members is $185 each if you register before Friday, March 11. Late registration will take effect after March 11 and will be $200 each. (Cancellations will not be refunded after Friday, March 18.)

Enclosed in this packet is information on the John F. Courson Excellence in County Engineering Award, information on the Golf Tournament, and a full conference agenda.

PLEASE NOTE: We have moved the ACEA Board of Directors meeting to Tuesday and bumped up the starting time for the golf tournament to accommodate the Board Meeting. We believe this will be a better, less constrictive time for the Board meeting and also allow Board members to participate in the Breakfast on Wednesday morning.

I am sure you can see from the topics that this will be a great conference! We are especially excited about the Opening General Session. We have invited new ALDOT Director John Cooper to speak and ACCA Executive Director Sonny Brasfield will update everyone on the new ethics law and how it will effect county employees.

We are currently working on plans for the Conference Dinner. The Portland Cement Association and Lehigh Cement are going to cook for us at an offsite location. Crenshaw County Engineer Benjie Sanders and his band will be playing for us.

To reserve your room at the Perdido Beach Resort, you may call the hotel directly at 800-634-8001 or log onto www.perdidobeachresort.com, and then go to the "Reservations" section. Enter 6862 in the Group Code section. The conference room rate is $157 a night and the cut off date for hotel reservations is Saturday, March 5th.

Please understand that we must use 85% of our room block or the ACEA will have
to pay for the unused rooms. We are asking that you please stay at the Perdido
Beach Resort in support of the ACEA.

If you have any problems or questions regarding the conference or making reservations, please call Donna Key at , or send an email to . We look forward to seeing you in Orange Beach!
