MAKE YOUR PLANS NOW TO ATTEND THE 2008 ACCA LEGISLATIVE CONFERENCE!

The 2008 Legislative Conference is scheduled for Dec. 10-11 at the Renaissance Ross Bridge Resort and Spa in Hoover. Have you made your plans to attend?

Each year, ACCA's membership meets to discuss the upcoming legislative session and approve the legislative program that will guide our activities during the upcoming legislative session. Every county should have a voice at ACCA's Legislative Conference. It is important that your county be represented at the conference to have input into the legislative program.

Several important topics will be covered at the conference, including a preview of the 2009 Legislative Session and a disucssion of ACCA's legislative agenda for the coming year. Breakout sessions are being scheduled for county commissioners, administrators, engineers, 9-1-1 directors, emergency managers and revenue officers.

Click to download a conference registration packet or a sponsorship packet. The deadline for the reduced registration price of $125 is Friday, Nov. 14. Registration cancellations made after November 28, will not be refunded. A more detailed agenda will be mailed to you in the coming weeks.

Rooms at Ross Bridge are $140 and can be reserved by calling (800) 593-6419 or by logging on to www.marriott.com. Search for Renaissance Ross Bridge Resort and Spa. Enter Group Code accacca. The deadline for hotel reservations is Friday, Nov. 7. If you call the hotel to make your reservations, please identify yourself as a member of ACCA to receive the conference rate. However, the room block for the night of Dec. 10 is now full at Ross Bridge, but there are still rooms available for Dec. 9.

Overflow accommodations have been made at the Hyatt Place Hoover. Hyatt Place is about 10 miles from Ross Bridge. Sleeping rooms at the Hyatt Place are $129 and can be reserved by calling (205) 988-8444. The deadline for making hotel reservations at Hyatt Place is Tuesday, Nov. 18.
