MAKE YOUR PLANS NOW TO ATTEND THE 2009 ACCA LEGISLATIVE CONFERENCE!

The 2009 Legislative Conference is scheduled for Dec. 9-10 at the Renaissance Montgomery Hotel and Conference Center in Downtown Montgomery. Have you made your plans to attend?

Each year, ACCA's membership meets to discuss the upcoming legislative session and approve the legislative program that will guide our activities during the upcoming legislative session. Every county should have a voice at ACCA's Legislative Conference. It is important that your county be represented at the conference to have input into the legislative program.

Several important topics will be covered at the conference, including a preview of the 2010 Legislative Session and a discussion of ACCA's legislative agenda for the coming year. Breakout sessions are being scheduled for county commissioners, administrators, engineers, 9-1-1 directors, emergency managers and revenue officers.

SCHEDULE CHANGE: Please note that our agenda has changed just a bit. Instead of having a lunch on Thursday, we will gather for breakfast instead. During this time, ACCA Executive Director Sonny Brasfield will preview the ACCA’s 2010 Legislative Program and Priority List.
Included in this registration packet is a preliminary conference agenda and instructions for online registration.

The deadline for the reduced registration price of $125 is Friday, Nov. 13. After Nov. 13, the registration fee will be $150. Registration cancellations made after Friday, Nov. 27, will not be refunded. Click here for a copy of the registration packet. If you have any questions about the conference, please call the ACCA office or e-mail Donna Key.
