The third annual Alabama/Mississippi Hurricane Conference promises to be one of the most important events of the year fo the emergency management communities in Alabama and Mississippi.
The Hurricane Katrina experience made clear that we can take nothing for granted when it comes to the safety of our citizens during hurricane season. It is crucial that we learn from this and do everything possible to prepare our vulnerable communities for these dangerous weather events.
This year's conference will be an invaluable learning and networking opportunity. We offer presentations and workshops that will help experienced and new emergency managers, as well as those who work in non-profit or other government agencies who want to learn more about being prepared for the upcoming hurricane season.

AAEM MEMBERS: If you paid to attend the 2008 Winter Conference in February, you may attend the Hurricane Conference at no charge. However, you must complete the registration form and return it in order to confirm your attendance at the Hurricane Conference.

Conference cancellation policy: The last day to cancel your registration and receive a refund is Friday, May 9. We must guarantee the number of guests attending all food-related events, which is why the cancellation policy is so important. However, if someone else from your office is registered for this conference and has not paid the registration fee, your fee will be applied to that registration. The registration fee for this conference cannot be applied to any other conference.
