County Commission is the Association of County
Commissions of Alabama’ award-winning, official
magazine covering news, features and topics of interest
to our members in county government.
Published six times annually, our magazine is designed
not only to highlight topics of great importance to county
government, but also to entertain our members. Our mission
since 1949 has been to improve communication on every
level of county government. Each of Alabama’s 67
counties is a subscriber to County Commission magazine.
Our full circulation reaches more than 1,500 members
of local and state government, including county commissioners,
administrators, engineers, probate judges, emergency
management personnel, 9-1-1 administrators, state legislators,
State Department personnel, and various federal agencies
with offices in Alabama. Our magazine is also distributed
to some agencies outside of Alabama, such as the National
Association of Counties.
