2011-2012 Environment and Land Use Steering Committee
 The Environment and Land Use Steering Committee is one of five legislative steering committees. The committee reviews and evaluates issues, such as solid waste collection, recycling, waste water, planning and zoning, subdivision regulations, application for host-government approval of environmental issues, and a myriad of other state and federal issues related to land use in Alabama. The recommendations of the committee are forwarded to the Association's Board of Directors and ultimately included in the Association's legislative package.
These committee members volunteer many hours of time toward the Association's legislative package to ensure solid measures will be taken to protect county interests to the best of the Association's abilities during the upcoming Regular Session of the Alabama Legislature.
